The Clone Wars was a time of chaos, bravery, and loss. Among the Jedi defending the Republic, Stass Allie and Anakin Skywalker fought together. However, they represented very different sides of the Jedi Order.
Stass Allie was portrayed by Lily Nyamwasa in Star Wars: Episode II—Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith, with Nina Fallon playing her during her death scene in Revenge of the Sith. Meanwhile, Anakin Skywalker was played by Hayden Christensen and voiced by Matt Lanter in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
They weren’t close like Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Still, their paths created very different legacies. One became a victim of betrayal while the other was the force that destroyed the Jedi Order.
Stass Allie: The Jedi Healer and Strategist
A Tholothian Jedi Master, Stass Allie was highly respected for her wisdom, strategic mind, and expertise in Jedi healing techniques. She was a cousin of Adi Gallia, another renowned Jedi Master who served on the High Council before her untimely death at the hands of Savage Opress.
Stass Allie took Adi Gallia’s place on the Jedi Council, lending her insight and guidance to the war effort. Stass was different from Anakin. While Anakin relied on aggressive tactics and strong emotions, Stass valued patience and discipline. She knew that winning a war required balance. It meant fighting when needed and healing when possible.
Stass Allie was a formidable warrior. She wielded a green-bladed lightsaber in battle and preferred a measured approach. She participated in many engagements, ensuring that Republic forces remained strong while also protecting the wounded.
Anakin Skywalker: The Fearless Warrior
Anakin Skywalker was the embodiment of power and defiance. The Chosen One was a feared Jedi General in the Republic. He led clone forces with unmatched skill.
Unlike Stass, who adhered to the Jedi Code, Anakin often ignored the Council’s teachings and acted on instinct. His blue-bladed lightsaber symbolized destruction for the Separatists. His soldiers saw him as a leader ready to risk everything for victory.
Despite his heroism, Anakin’s growing anger and emotional attachments set him on a dark path. While Stass Allie remained committed to the Jedi ways, Anakin’s choices would eventually lead him to betray everything he once fought for.
Stass Allie and Anakin Skywalker in the Clone Wars
Though they were never a tightly bonded duo, Stass Allie and Anakin Skywalker crossed paths during key battles of the Clone Wars.
A key campaign was the Battle of Thule. Anakin led the charge against Separatist forces. Meanwhile, Stass Allie worked with the Republic’s medical teams. She made sure wounded clones and Jedi got the treatment they needed. Their combined efforts helped secure victory, showing that war required both warriors and healers.
Stass Allie often disagreed with Anakin’s reckless combat style, as she remained loyal to the Jedi Council’s principles. They both trained under Jedi Masters like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu. This showed that their different methods could still help the Republic.
Both Jedi had important roles in the war. One focused on saving lives, while the other aimed to destroy the enemy. However, in the end, neither would survive the Republic’s fall.
The Fall of the Jedi: Order 66 and Betrayal
The Clone Wars ended in bloodshed, not victory. Order 66 marked the death of the Jedi Order, and both Stass Allie and Anakin Skywalker were caught in the storm—but in very different ways.
Stass Allie’s Death on Saleucami
Near the war’s final days, Stass Allie was leading a patrol on the Outer Rim world of Saleucami. She rode ahead of her Clone Trooper squad on a 74-Z speeder bike, unaware that Palpatine had activated Order 66. Her own soldiers—Jedi allies she trusted—attacked her without warning. They fired, and her speeder exploded in flames. She died instantly, another Jedi betrayed by those she once led.
Anakin Skywalker’s Dark Transformation
Anakin Skywalker did not fall victim to Order 66—he became its executioner. Under the influence of Darth Sidious, he was renamed Darth Vader and led the assault on the Jedi Temple, slaughtering his own comrades—including the younglings who once saw him as a hero.
Legacy of Stass Allie and Anakin Skywalker
Despite their differences, Stass Allie and Anakin Skywalker represented two essential aspects of the Jedi Order—wisdom and strength.
Stass Allie represented the Jedi as peacekeepers. She used her skills in healing and strategy to protect life, not destroy it. While she was less famous than other Jedi Masters, her actions during the Clone Wars showed the sacrifices made by those who fought for peace.
Anakin Skywalker, on the other hand, became the Jedi’s ultimate tragedy. He was their greatest warrior but also the one who doomed them. His fall to the dark side reshaped the galaxy, turning him into Darth Vader, the enforcer of the Galactic Empire.
Their legacies live on in the stories of the Clone Wars and the weapons they wielded. To honor the fallen Jedi, their lightsabers stand as symbols of heroism and tragedy. Whether it’s Anakin’s iconic blue lightsaber, later wielded by Luke and Rey, or Stass Allie’s elegant green blade, their presence in Star Wars history is forever preserved.
